About Ramble Shipping

Ramble Shipping is Ramble’s way to ship an instrument from one music shop to another, or from a music shop to a door, anywhere in the US.

  1. Book onlinePick a music shop near you and say where it’s going.
  2. Drop it offBring your instrument to the shop. You don’t need a box.
  3. It’s inspected and packedThe shop looks it over and photographs it, then packs it.
  4. It’s shippedThe shop hands it to the carrier, and you can track it.
  5. It’s picked upThe receiver collects it at a music shop near them.

Each shop photographs your instrument along the way: the drop-off shop when you drop it off and as it packs it, and the pickup shop when it arrives and as it hands it over. You and the receiver see every photo on the shipment page.

Why music shops

Shipping an instrument well takes the right box, the right padding and a record of how it looked when it left. Music shops know how to handle instruments, so Ramble Shipping is built around them: the shops check instruments in, pack them and hand them over, and Ramble runs the booking, the payments and the tracking, and settles any problem.

Every partner shop is a music shop Ramble has reviewed and approved. Each one packs every box to the same written standard, and sets its own prices for packing, receiving and the work it does.

Who we are

Ramble Shipping is made by Ramble, founded by Alex Pundyk (CEO) and Alex McGourty (CTO) in 2023. We’re creating tools and services to unlock musicianship, and it starts with protecting gear. Ramble’s first product is a collection and insurance platform for musical instruments.

The name Ramble captures two things: the intimacy of a musical gathering and the spirit of travel underlying the craft. As former touring artists, forever gear heads and lifelong tech enthusiasts, we feel humbled and uniquely equipped to combine our skills and serve the community we love. Ramble Shipping is part of that work: getting instruments where they need to go, packed by music shops.
